On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at TK Palace & Convention Hotel, Bangkok, Assistant Professor Dr. Pochanee Sukchawana, President of Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University, assigned Assistant Professor Charayut Prateepworakan, Vice President, to join the award ceremony honoring the children and youth network on climate change and the environment for the year 2024, with Dr. Pirun Saiyasitphanich, Director-General of the Department of Climate Change and Environment, honoring us as the chairman. The objectives of this event are as follows:

 

1. To present awards honoring and showcasing the achievements of the children and youth network that has implemented projects on climate change and the environment.

 

2. To promote the role of children and youth in exchanging ideas and jointly determining the direction of driving climate change and environmental issues.

 

3. To develop the children and youth network to be in line with the guidelines for solving climate change problems according to the national and international plans and policies.

 

Today's activities after the award ceremony The CCE Children & Youth Forum will be organized under the topic "Children and Youth Network and the Role in Driving Climate Change Action in Thailand". For the activity on August 29, 2024, there will be a workshop to listen to the voices of children and youth to drive solutions to the global warming crisis (Children & Youth Empowerment for Climate Action) and jointly determine the guidelines for developing climate change and environmental projects of the children and youth network to be more effective and in line with the situation, plans and policies of the country and internationally. The results from organizing this activity will be summarized and collected as a reflection power in the children and youth network sector of Thailand to be used in the Youth Session of the 3rd TCAC meeting to be held in October 2024 and the Children & Youth Session of the 29th COP meeting to be held in November 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
